En este trabajo se hace una reflexin sobre la potica de Jos Carlos Becerra, la cual se realiza con base en las consideraciones de la estructura del lenguaje potico. La hiptesis propuesta es la siguiente: el lugar de la poesa en la obra de Jos Carlos Becerra es el lenguaje, el cual se estudia desde la ptica de la forma del significado. El trabajo est estructurado en tres captulos: el captulo primero versa sobre el concepto de poesa, el cual est correlacionado con el concepto de arte. En el captulo segundo se analizan algunas aproximaciones metodolgicas para el estudio de una potica de la poesa, dichas aproximaciones son: la estilstica, la semitica del texto artstico y la estructura del lenguaje potico. En el tercer captulo se establece una aproximacin a la potica de la poesa de Jos Carlos Becerra.
