El trabajo de investigacin se constituy en una experiencia de aula empleando al Mapa Conceptual como estrategia, tcnica y medio de evaluacin, a 32 estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Educacin Bsica con nfasis en Lengua Castellana, en el espacio acadmico: investigacin y prctica pedaggica de El Charco, Nario Colombia. La aplicacin de la estrategia didctica se desarroll en cuatro momentos, basados en P. Ya Galperin. El primero la fase preparatoria, de carcter motivacional y de orientacin. El segundo fase de materializacin. El tercero, fase verbal y el cuarto, fase mental. El proceso investigativo, utiliz el paradigma cualitativo, con enfoque crtico social y el tipo InvestigacinAccin. La tcnica de recoleccin de datos fue la observacin participante y el instrumento, el diario de campo. El uso regular del mapa conceptual, tanto por el educador, como por los educandos, permitieron una verdadera apropiacin del conocimiento; favoreci la planeacin, organizacin de la informacin el proceso de construccin de textos.
