La presente obra, tiene como finalidad dejar a la luz del conocimiento un estudio en torno a las ideas del pensamiento educativo de Simn Rodrguez, como base fundamental del proyecto societario de la Repblica Bolivariana de Venezuela, liderado por el Presidente Hugo Rafael Chvez Fras. La metodologa llevada a cabo fue la investigacin documental, teniendo como mtodo la hermenutica. El proyecto de educacin popular propuesto por el celebre maestro caraqueo, encierra en su esencia aspectos importantes tanto de la poltica como de la economa de su poca. Una propuesta elaborada con mstica de servicio, pues, pensaba que a travs de la instruccin y la educacin podran formarse ciudadanos para la edificacin de un nuevo modelo de sociedad, hombres forjadores de patria y constructores de su propio destino. La idea de Repblica se centra en un nuevo rgimen creado por el propio Rodrguez, el cual llam neocracia, un gobierno nuevo con principios buenos. En base a este sistema, el proyecto de pas, liderado por Hugo Chvez, encuentra un camino por donde se erige el nuevo rgimen republicano, a travs de la participacin protagnica con la finalidad de refundar la Repblica.
