Las autoras analizan el potencial multidialgico del tesauro en la representacin de la multidimensionalidad disciplinaria de los saberes semiticos. Parten de los postulados tericos de Eco (1991) y Jofr (1997), entre otros, quienes presentan a la semitica como una red interdisciplinaria, como campo transdisciplinario y como metateora capaz de dialogar interdisciplinariamente con otras disciplinas de campos cercanos. La investigacin se sustenta en el mtodo de anlisis de dominio (LpezHuertas, 2006; Hjorland y Albretchen, 1995) para la interpretacin del carcter multidimensional de la semitica y su representacin en tesauros. De los resultados se destaca que, el anlisis de dominio ratifica el carcter multidimensional de los saberes semiticos derivado del elevado grado de cooperacin de las ciencias en la interpretacin y significacin de los objetos semiticos. Del anlisis estructural de las clases y reas temticas de los tesauros estudiados, se obtuvo que los mismos no guardan correspondencia con los dominios intertransdisciplinarios aqu identificados. Se concluye que la semitica ha sido silenciada en los lenguajes documentales de indizacin.
