Este documento propone una estimacin del tipo de cambio real, como relacin entre el precio de los bienes transables y el precio de los bienes no transables, a partir de un vector de fundamentos macroeconmicos internos y externos, variables de poltica econmica y cambios en la productividad (Efecto HarrodBalassaSamuelson); y calcula los potenciales niveles de desalineamiento que pueden existir entre el tipo de cambio real observado y el de equilibrio a largo plazo, determinado a partir del valor sostenible de sus fundamentos. Para distintas especificaciones del modelo terico se consiguieron niveles actuales de apreciacin moderados si se comparan con los que prevalecieron antes de que se aceleraran los ajustes en el tipo de cambio nominal
