Medien waren schon immer Teil der Didaktik und seit dem Eindringen des Computers in die Lebens und Arbeitswelt wurden immer wieder theoretische Anstze entworfen, die dem Computer sogar eine Sonderstellung unter den Medien einzurumen versuchten bis hin zum Computer als Ersatz fr den Lehrenden (vgl. Stangl, 2006). Durch den Einsatz von ELearning Angeboten wird flexibel auf die jeweilige Situation und die speziellen Lernbedrfnisse des Einzelnen eingegangen. Dadurch wird gezielt eine Entkopplung von Zeit und Raum erreicht (vgl. Kutschka, 2003, S.5). Zu Beginn dieser Arbeit wird der Begriff des ELearning vorgestellt und definiert. Anschlieend wird auf die eigentliche Aufgabe der vorliegenden Arbeit eingegangen und deren Ziele und Erwartungen charakterisiert. ELearning (ElectronicLearning) heit zunchst einmal nichts anderes, als Lernen am bzw. mit dem Computer. Das wesentlich Neue an dieser Variante im Vergleich zu herkmmlichen Varianten des Computer untersttzen Lehren und Lernens liegt in dem Aufbau multimedialer Infrastrukturen sowie der Nutzung der Vernetzungsmglichkeiten von Computersystemen. An Hand dieser Vernetzungen kann das verfgbare Wissen in der Bildungsorganisation und das weltweit vorhande Wissen in didaktischaufbereiteter Form zu Lern und Lehrzwecken in umfassender Weise zugnglich gemacht werden (vgl. Kutscha, 2003, S.11). Dementsprechend kann ELearning als ein Sammelbegriff fr Lernprozessse verstanden werden, bei denen elektronische Medien zur Wissensvermittlung und Lernkontrolle eingesetzt werden.
