Ohne hier auf den genauen Kontext der Aussage einzugehen, kann festgehalten werden: Er lag gewaltig daneben, denn das Gegenteil ist Realitt. Gab es im Jahr 2004 nach Schtzungen von Sophos ungefhr 8 Mrd. SpamMails weltweit pro Tag, so stieg das SpamAufkommen seitdem unaufhaltsam an und lag im Jahr 2008 bei ungefhr 170 Mrd. SpamMails pro Tag. Ist dies einfach nur lstig, oder ein ernstzunehmendes Problem mit konomischer Relevanz? Aufgrund ausgefeilter SpamFilter erhalten wir heute nur noch wenige SpamNachrichten in unsere Postfcher. Trotzdem wirft das Thema viele Fragen auf: Wie kam es eigentlich zu dem Begriff Spam'? Ist Spam ausschlielich auf das Medium EMail begrenzt? Wie gelangen die Spammer eigentlich an meine EMailAdresse? Warum ist es immer noch mglich, dass Spammer ihre Nachrichten verschicken? Welche Kosten entstehen eigentlich fr einen SpamFilter? Wie hoch ist der Ausfall an Arbeitszeit fr das manuelle Lschen nicht erkannter SpamNachrichten in meinem Unternehmen, in Deutschland oder gar weltweit? Weltweit muss eine groe ITInfrastruktur mit der SpamProblematik befasst sein. Wie wirkt sich das eigentlich auf die Umwelt aus?
