Noch im Erwachsenenalter spielt die Norm der Jungfrulichkeit bis zur Ehe eine zentrale Rolle, denn vieles hngt davon ab: der Status der jungen Frauen im trkischen Netzwerk, die Qualitt der Familienbeziehungen und die Mglichkeiten der Partnerwahl. Die vorliegende Studie bietet einen vielschichtigen Einblick in aktuelle Lebenssituationen junger Frauen trkischer Herkunft in Deutschland. Anhand einer hermeneutischen Analyse qualitativer Interviews rekonstruiert die Autorin aus soziologischer Perspektive sowohl die Sichtweisen der Frauen als auch bergreifende Handlungsmuster. Wie gestalten die Frauen ihre Sexualitt und Partnerwahl vor dem Hintergrund der Erwartungshaltungen ihrer Familien und den Optionen der Aufnahmegesellschaft? Welchen Einfluss haben die Freundschafts und Familienbeziehungen auf die Lebensverlufe der Frauen? Aus den Interviews wird sichtbar, wie die jungen Frauen in Interkulturellen Zwischenwelten" neue Handlungsorientierungen entwickeln jenseits etablierter Handlungsmuster des ethnischen Netzwerks und der Aufnahmegesellschaft.
