This is a fabulous collection of stepbystep designs for personalizing readymade clothes with colourful, individual embellishments using simple embroidery, beading and applique, as well as some instant, nosew ideas. The five chapters focus on different types of embellishments, including beads and sequins, ribbon and lace, patches and scraps, flowers and leaves, and wool. Each chapter has six stepbystep projects for embellishing clothing, followed by a doublepage spread of ideas for accessories, such as belts, scarves, bags, hats and shoes. There are projects for making a corsage to pin to a jacket, adding ribbon to a camisole, ribbons around the edge of a cardigan, beaded motifs added to a sweater, or diamante studs added to jeans. Using basic Tshirts, jeans, blouses, skirts and sweaters that are readilyavailable and inexpensive to buy, these ideas for embellishments will make individual, musthave items for your wardrobe to help you stand out from the crowd.
