Product Description English summary: The book contains a critical analysis of and tribute to the fundamental philosophy of Emil Lask, a neoKantian well known for his legal philosophy but apart from that previously neglected. Above all the book deals at lenght with his doctrine of the selfjustification of philosophy (ultimate justification) in a theory of the categories of philosophical cognition and its object. About the Author Stephan Nachtsheim, Geboren 1951; Studium der Philosophie, Musikwissenschaft und Germanistik in Bonn; 1978 Promotion; 198089 wiss. Mitarbeiter am Philosophischen Institut der Technischen Hochschule Aachen; 1990 Habilitation; seit 1990 Privatdozent an der Technischen Hochschule Aachen; Leiter der Forschungsstelle Nicolai Hartmann. Zentrum fur Ontologie und Transzendentalphilosophie an der Technischen Hochschule Aachen.
