Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with "The Russian Empire and Its Rivals." I thought it would focus more on warfare, but it delves into politics a lot. Some parts felt dry and were not as engaging. It’s not terrible, but I think I’ll pass it on to a friend who might appreciate it more.

I bought this book for my college class on Russian history, and it’s been a fantastic resource. The illustrations and maps help clarify the narrative. The only downside was that it took a bit longer to arrive than expected, but it was worth the wait!

A Fascinating Dive into History
As a history buff, I found "The Russian Empire and Its Rivals" to be an incredibly detailed read. Empire really did a great job of capturing the complexities of the era. I especially loved the sections on how the rivalries shaped modern-day geopolitics. This is a must-have for anyone interested in imperial history!
