I expected much more from 'Encounters in Microbiology'. The print quality isn’t great, and a few pages were damaged upon arrival. It’s a shame because the content could be interesting but the presentation brings it down.

This book is decent for a general overview of microbiology, but I found some topics a bit shallow. It’s good for beginners, but if you’re looking for something more detailed, you might want to look elsewhere. Overall, it does the job!

I picked up 'Encounters in Microbiology' for my microbiology course, and it’s been a fantastic resource! The illustrations are super clear, and the case studies really help solidify the concepts. Definitely makes learning about microbes much more interesting!
