Fifteen years after winning independence in 1975, Mozambique was wracked by insurgency, devastated by drought, and battered by conflicts with its neighbors. While the book is packed with information about mediation in Mozambique’s war, I found it a little dry at times. The format is more academic than I had hoped. Nonetheless, it provided me with useful references for my project.

The book offers a lot of valuable insights on Mozambique's war and mediation processes. However, I found the academic language a bit heavy at times, which made it hard to get through. Still, it’s worth a read if you're studying conflict issues.
