A celebration of the Shelburne Museum's 50 years of collecting. Curator Celia Oliver presents a history of quilts in the American home, as well as the story of the woman behind the Shelburne collection, Electra Havemeyer Webb. Founded in 1947, the collection today includes more than 700 pieces of applique, pieced, embroidered, paintdecorated, knitted, crocheted, and handwoven bedcovers.
