This is a new book written specifically for the closedbook EIT/FE exam. Ten professors have combined their efforts so that each chapter is written by an expert in his field. These include textbook authors Lawrence H. Van Vlack (Elements of Materials Science and Engineering), Charles Smith (Statics, Dynamics, More Dynamics) and Donald Newnan (Engineering Economic Analysis).The introduction describes the exam, its structure, examday strategies, exam scoring, and passing rate statistics. The topics carefully match the structure of the closedbook exam and the notation of the Fundamentals of Engineering Reference Handbook. Each topic is presented along with example problems to illustrate the technical presentation. Multiplechoice practice problems with detailed solutions are at the end of each chapter.The book includes a complete eighthour EIT/FE Sample Exam, with 120 multiplechoice morning problems and 60 multiplechoice general afternoon problems. Following the sample exam, complete stepbystep solutions are given for each of the 180 problems.
