With the growing influence of information technologyon all areas of life, the way people and companiesconduct business was (and still is) influenced andadaptation of new technologies and paradigms (such asService Oriented Architecture SOA) is of highestinterest. This book will address one of the hot topics, whichsupport the alignment of IT and business, namelyService Level Agreements. The underlying assumptionof this thesis is that with some enhancements and amerge of existing technologies, SLAs can be madeproduct ready for certain industrialdomains. Starting from a set of use cases from differentdomains (eHealth, car crash simulations andvisualization), a SLA schema and an associatedmanagement framework architecture are derived andevaluated with respect to the use cases. In addition an outlook is given on future researchtopics to allow for further enhancement in thisrespective topic. The solutions presented in the book were partiallyderived from work of the author within national andinternational research activities such as SLA4DGrid,BREIN, NextGRID or BEinGRID.
