Los arqueros de ftbol tienen una gran responsabilidad, a la hora de asumir esta posicin de juego. En el mundo actual el arquero dentro del proceso de entrenamiento es un trabajador incansable, pero an no se ha podido resolver la problemtica que aborda el rendimiento deportivo del mismo; la eficacia motriz defensiva ante los tiros a puerta. La defensa en el arquero de ftbol es el indicador ms importante, interceptar cada disparo al arco hace que sus conductas se relacionen con algunos componentes de la preparacin del deportista, el gesto tcnico tctico y en el cumplimiento de las tareas vinculadas con la misin defensiva no facilitan suficientemente el desarrollo eficaz del proceso defensivo; es por esto que el aspecto perceptivo visual en la preparacin, enfocado desde sus acciones motrices en cada resolucin de tareas, no ha sido suficientemente estudiado y consecuentemente no se cuenta con orientaciones metodolgicas precisas que orienten al colectivo pedaggico en la manera de proceder al respecto. Como va de solucin se elabor una metodologa para el entrenamiento perceptivo visual, concepto que se propone para resolver esta problemtica.
