Die vorliegende Arbeit wurde im Juni 1990 vom Fachbereich wirt schaftswissenschaften der Johann Wolfgang GoetheUniversitat, Frankfurt am Main, als Dissertation angenommen. Die Arbeit ist wahrend meiner Tatigkeit als wissenschaftliche Mi tarbei terin an der Professur fur Produktionstheorie und Pro duktionsplanung begonnen und an der Professur fur Allgemeine Be triebswirtschaftslehre abgeschlossen worden. Zu groBem Dank verpflichtet bin ich meinem hochverehrten akade mischen Lehrer, Herrn Prof. Dr. Ores. h. c. Waldemar Wittmann, der das interessante formale Thema aus der Lagerhaltungstheorie anregte und der mir immer wieder Mut machte, die vielfal tigen komplexen Modelle auf diesem Gebiet zu durchdringen.
