Entscheidungsunterstiitzungssysteme sind ein neueres, in den letzten 20 Jahren entstandenes Konzept. Entscheidungstriigern sollen Informationen, Methoden und Modelle zur Unterstiitzung ihrer nicht automatisierbaren Entscheidungsprozesse in schwach strukturierten Entscheidungs situationen zur Verfiigung gestellt werden. Dazu werden Erkenntnisse der Betriebswirtschafts lehre, der Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik und des Operations Research integrativ genutzt. Insbesondere werden die an der Carnegie Mellon University im Kreis urn den Nobelpreistriiger H. A. Simon herausgearbeitete Entscheidungssicht mit der am Massachusetts Institute of Technology entwickelten Technik interaktiver Computernutzung kombiniert. Erstere verfiigt iiber ein realistisches, auch psychologische Aspekte einbeziehendes Konzept fiir Management Entscheidungen. 1m Rahmen des letzteren werden immer leistungsfahigere Geriite zur Rezep tion, Transformation, Ubertragung, Speicherung und Verarbeitung von Daten sowie partiell zum aktivierenden Eingriff bereitgestellt. Selbst Manager ohne Kenntnisse elektronischer Da tenverarbeitung konnen diese fast spielend bedienen. Man denke an Begriffe wie Personal Computer, Laptop, Palmtop, Akkustikkopplung bzw. Modem, Satelliten und Breitbandkom munikation auf der Hardwareseite. Beziiglich der Softwareseite seien Endbenutzerkonzepte, das Konzept des intelligenten (elektronischen) Assistenten und verschiedene Aspekte der kiinstli chen Intelligenz angesprochen. Das fiihrt dazu, daB man heute das wirklich realisieren kann, was man als "Management Informations Systeme" bereits in den siebziger Jahren erhoffte. Wie so oft, liegt aber auch hier der Teufel im Detail. Ein konkretes Unterstiitzungssystem er fordert die intensive Durchdringung der konkreten Problemstellung und die Anpassung der Unterstiitzungswerkzeuge an diese. Herr Hilberseimer hat sich dieser Aufgabe fiir den Bereich der Unternehmensbewertung gestellt.
