Mining activities take its roll on several aspects of environment like land (Geomorphology), soil cover, forest cover, surface and ground water air etc. Long years of mining which involves extractions of materials affect the landscape by defacing of land formation of anthropogenic and diversion of natural drainage system. Mine excavation may cause temporary water accumulation during rain. Mining activities cause pollution to a considerable extent on several grounds like land, dust and air, water etc. Deforestation is a pre requisite for any mining operation. It was found that besides the quarry area, vast expansions of other adjacent area have been deforested. Besides the mining areas, reserved and other forests allover have also suffered large scale depletion. This has also cause depletion of wild life and water shade areas. Mining activities defaced the local topography through excavation dumping provision of required infrastructural facilities like machinery installation, transportation and waste disposal. All these activities lead to physical and ecological encroachment of agricultural land. There by leading to the decrease in their availability.
