Water quality problems in the Central Region of Ghana are becoming increasingly complex and diverse and these conditions are due to the poor management of these water resources which has to a large extent, been promoted by the traditional perception of water being a free commodity resulting in wasteful practices in water resources utilization without much priority given to their management. This study therefore reveals certain findings that will aid in the management and sustainability of these water resources, in that, it will actually give us an idea about how much each of these waters have been polluted. It also highlights the main sources of pollution of these water bodies under study. The study also aid in the assessment and evaluation of the probable impacts of the levels or concentrations of parameters on aquatic life, humans as well as the environment as a whole, and therefore human activities that tend to lower or increase these parameters in this case. Finally, this study, will not only serve as a tool in the management and sustainability of water resources in Ghana but also the world at large.
