This book deals with the detail derivation of Equispaced level conduction band model and the application in some ternary alloy semiconductors. The derivation is based on the coordinate transform procedure. Effective mass Schrodinger equation is set up, with the local conduction band edge(Luttiger and Kohn,1955) taken as the potential experienced by an electron in a Quantum Well(QW). Semiconductor alloys QWs are broadly tailorable. Two Hamiltonians are derived; one with a confining potential and realizable by appropriate grading of the alloy. The other has a non confining potential and is not realizable. Modern microelectronics and photonics are heavily based upon semiconductor Nanostructures(QW,QWR,QD and Superlattice) heterostructures. Chapter one covers related topics on the advanecs in optoelectronics(photonics), made possible only with the advent of good quality heterostructures. In chapter two and three, the coordinate transform procedure is presented. In chapter four and five discussion of results and conclussion are presented. Engineers, Scientist and Industrialist will find this book interesting to read because of the information on equispaced QW.
