Bestimmte Risikoverhaltensweisen sollten zu diesem Zweck reduziert, individuelle und soziale Schutzfaktoren gestrkt und Kompetenzen zur Krankheitsbewltigung verbessert werden (vgl. Verband deutscher Rentenversicherungstrger, 2000). Neuere Gesundheitsbildungskonzepte halten auch im Bereich der Rehabilitation Einzug. Orientierte sich der Verband deutscher Rentenversicherungstrger (VDR) in den letzten Jahren ausschlielich am Risikofaktorenmodell, welches ein individuelles Fehlverhalten und deren Folgen in den Vordergrund stellt, so spielen nun auch andere Modelle, wie das Schutzfaktorenkonzept, eine grere Rolle. Es ist eng mit dem biopsychosozialen Krankheitsmodell und den Sichtweisen der Salutogenese verbunden (ebenda). Das heit beispielsweise, dass die Teilnehmer eines Kurses nicht nach dem Vorhandensein von Risikofaktoren beurteilt werden, sondern gesamte Lebenssituationen und Lebensumstnde wahrgenommen und eingebunden werden. Beim Risikofaktorenmodell wird davon ausgegangen, dass durch Aufklrung und der Bereitstellung von Informationen ber gesundheitsschdigendes Verhalten zwangslufig eine Verhaltensnderung und verbesserung erfolgt. Den Teilnehmern entsprechender Kurse, wie Angebote zur Raucherentwhnung, Stressbewltigung usw., wird das Gefhl vermittelt, es sei nur guter Wille ntig, um eine Verhaltensnderung zu bewirken. Diese Personen erleben Verzicht jedoch als deprimierend und assoziieren eine gesunde Lebensweise demnach mit dem Verlust von Lebensqualitt.
