Die ParacelsusTrilogie, sein Hauptwerk, das zwischen 1917 und 1925 erschien, dient der vorliegenden Arbeit als Gegenstand zur Prfung auf genuin nationalsozialistische Merkmale. Dazu werden im ersten Teil der Arbeit die Traditionslinien, die sich aus Strmungen konservativpreuischer Literatur und vlkischer Heimatkunst speisen, referiert und spezifische Wesenzge herausgefiltert werden, die dann als Instrumentarium zur Klassifizierung dienen sollen. Wichtig sind hierbei die von den historischen Prozessen der Zeit beeinflussten Weltanschauungen und Protesthaltungen, um die Entstehung und Entwicklung des Nationalsozialismus und seiner signifikanten Elemente in der Literatur erkennen und darlegen zu knnen. So wird herausgearbeitet werden, welche Merkmale aus vlkischnationaler Tradition bernommen und integriert wurden, welche nicht und welche neuen, eigenen Merkmale sich entwickelten und wie nun genuin nationalsozialistische Literatur funktioniert. Dieses Merkmalsraster wird im zweiten Teil auf die historische Romantrilogie Paracelsus' gelegt und berprft, ob und zu welchem Teil sich im Paracelsus' schon ca. zwei Jahrzehnte vor der Machtergreifung nationalsozialistische Ideologeme konstituierten und somit der Nationalsozialismus ideologisch vorbereitet wurde. Im Zentrum des Erkenntnisinteresses wird der als eigenstndiges System angesehene Text stehen.
