It is, therefore, need of the hour to synthesize fabric softening cationic molecules which shall impart remarkable softening and possess rapid and complete biodegradability. Esteramide quaternaries are, therefore, gaining edge over existing cationic species for fabric softening. The aim of the book is to provide latest information on synthesis and characterization of piperazine based esteramide quaternaries from renewable fatty feed stock. The physicochemical and surface active properties of esteramide quats have also been studied thoroughly.
