El presente trabajo aborda aspectos conceptuales sobre el Marketing, el Sistema de Informacin de Marketing, la Investigacin de Mercados y de la demanda. La investigacin comienza con la definicin de marketing y de su sistema de informacin, continuando con importantes elementos relacionados con la investigacin de mercados y posteriormente de la demanda, pues este estudio constituye una investigacin en este campo. Adems de manera detallada se hace alusin a la caracterizacin de la Corporacin Copextel S.A, y tambin caracterizando la Divisin Territorial Villa Clara enfatizando en su gerencia Mundo Ofimtico encargada de la comercializacin de equipos y materiales de registro y control. Posteriormente se desarrolla una investigacin de mercado, para determinar la demanda de equipos y materiales de registro y control por las empresas de la ciudad de Santa Clara; que permita detectar nuevas oportunidades de ventas de estos productos que comercializa Copextel. La informacin se obtuvo a partir de la utilizacin del anlisis documental y de los mtodos cualitativos y cuantitativos de la investigacin emprica.
