El trabajo esta encaminado adeterminar los factores asociados a una longevidad satisfactoria en la poblacin mayor de 65 aos de la comunidad de Entre Ros, Pas Bolivia y crear las condiciones posibles y favorables para el desarrollo de la misma. Para la investigacin se realiz un estudio exploratorio de corte transversal en la etapa correspondiente de 1 de agosto a 31 de diciembre 2011. Para la recoleccin de la informacin se aplicaron tcnicas de bsqueda como la gua de observacin as como de la revisin documental. El universo tomado fue de 650 habitantes y la muestra de 90 adultos mayores que renen los requisitos para la investigacin. Se arribaron a resultados importantes como son la existencia de un exceso de consumo de alcohol como hbito txico en el adulto mayor, adems de hbitos dietticos no adecuados, existe falta de apoyo familiar en los ancianos y poca realizacin de ejercicios fsicos. Se recomienda promover cambios de estilos de vida, hbitos y costumbres que favorezcan la salud.
