En este trabajo se plantea determinar los efectos que el proceso de antropizacin del medio natural ha tenido sobre las formaciones de turba en el Parque Nacional de Las Tablas de Daimiel, establecer una metodologa para cuantificar dichos efectos y proponer medidas para paliarlos o corregirlos. Las vas de estudio desarrolladas para alcanzar estos objetivos han sido: delimitar las zonas de turba dentro de los lmites del Parque y caracterizar sus propiedades fsicas y qumicas; determinar el contenido en humedad de las turbas en campo y en laboratorio y establecer una comparacin de este parmetro en los meses hmedos (invierno) y secos (verano); estudiar el grado de hidrofobicidad de las turbas en los meses hmedos y secos y caracterizar esta propiedad como un fenmeno reversible o irreversible en las turbas; monitorizar los suelos del Parque mediante sensores de temperatura y de humedad para determinar la evolucin de ambos parmetros en la vertical, en los distintos tipos funcionales de suelo, y caracterizacin qumica en laboratorio de la turba, segn los distintos grados de evolucin establecidos en campo, como complemento a las determinaciones fsicas realizadas.
