Este texto junto con hacer una revisin del cambio en el sistema de seleccin a la Educacin superior que se vivi en Chile hace algunos aos, pretende establecer un marco conceptual, a partir del cual se tengan los lineamientos claros respecto a los elementos fundamentales a considerar a la hora de realizar evaluaciones de validez predictiva, las cuales se deben tener en cuenta a la hora de disear un sistema seleccin. El presente texto se organiza en siete secciones principales. En el captulo 1 se hace una breve introduccin al tema. En el captulo 2 se revisan los aspectos ms importantes de la validez predictiva y la evidencia internacional al respecto. En el capitulo 3 se revisa el sistema de seleccin en Chile. En el captulo 4 se detalla la metodologa de anlisis que se utilizar en esta investigacin. En el captulo 5, se presenta una descripcin estadstica de la informacin disponible. El captulo 6 presnetan de forma detallada los resultados para finalizar con en el captulo 7 donde se presentan las principales conclusiones, comentando los alcances y limitaciones de los hallazgos que se reportan.
