Este trabajo responde a la siguiente filosofa: En primer lugar, sentar unas bases metodolgicas tiles para abordar la realizacin de un estudio de usuarios en una hemeroteca de prensa electrnica. En segundo lugar, y trascendiendo la teora, aportar una aplicacin prctica de dichas directrices metodolgicas en un estudio de caso real. Con ello se pretende que, ms all de los datos especficos derivados de la realizacin del mismo, el lector pueda obtener una visin integrada e interrelacionada de la teora y la prctica de los estudios de usuarios. Se analizan las etapas del diseo y planteamiento del estudio de usuarios y se determinan los siguientes elementos clave del mismo: objetivos del estudio, colectivo a evaluar, mtodo utilizado para la obtencin de informacin y sus principales caractersticas. Finalmente, se presentan los resultados y conclusiones derivadas del estudio de usuarios realizado que se sustenta en las bases fijadas y mediante el cual se verifica el nivel de uso, satisfaccin e impacto que produce en los sujetos investigados la utilizacin de la hemeroteca electrnica evaluada.
