Die tglichen Nachrichten informieren ber Geschehnisse in der Welt und je nach Sender, Zielgruppe und Tageszeit werden unterschiedliche Themenschwerpunkte gesetzt. In der Geschichte des Fernsehens und des Films zeigt sich, dass dieses Medium immer mehr Bedeutung fr das tgliche Leben des Einzelnen gewinnt. Rund 95 % der Haushalte besitzen einen und sogar 28 % der Haushalte zwei Fernsehgerte (DESTATIS.DE, I). Durch die modernen Mglichkeiten kann man das gewnschte Tv Programm sogar auf dem Mobiltelefon, unterwegs und im Internet empfangen. Neben Fernsehserien, Spielfilmen und Talkshows werden im Rahmen des Bildungsauftrags' auch zahlreiche Wissenschaftsmagazine und Informationsjournale ausgestrahlt. Dabei kommen ausfhrliche ethnografische Filme und Dokumentationen mit ethnografischem Charakter oftmals zu kurz. Der Grund dafr ist, dass wissenschaftliches Fernsehen schlichtweg nicht oder einfach weniger massenattraktiv' (STAHL, GOETHE.DE) ist.
