Theemphasis of these contributions is on critical assessment of majorareas of research and of substantial individual programmes ofresearch as well as on topics and initiatives of contemporaryinterest and originalityThe authors of this tenth volume are drawn form Europe and theUnited States, and represent the international scope and qualitywhich are hallmarks of this series.
