En la investigacin se vincula la tecnologa con el desarrollo de estrategias para el aprendizaje de la lectura y escritura. Las mismas, estn orientadas en el enfoque sociocultural de Lev Vygotsky y el aprendizaje significativo de David Ausubel, permitiendo la consolidacin de las habilidades de leer y escribir, a travs de la interaccin con el libro electrnico. El producto evaluado se relaciona con la temtica del cuento Andrs quiere una mascota, para proporcionar a los nios aprendizajes significativos, construidos en relacin con sus pares, padres y maestros. Para la validacin de los instrumentos se utiliza el Mtodo Delphi y con la versin final de los mismos se realiza la evaluacin por parte de expertos en contenido, tecnologa y docentes usuarios. Las dimensiones valoradas fueron aspectos funcionales y de utilidad, contenidos y aspectos pedaggicos, diseo y aspectos tcnicos. Con esta investigacin, se logra evaluar un libro electrnico concebido para estimular la lectura y escritura en nios que requieren de motivadores externos que los impulsen a acercarse a estos procesos fundamentales para el desarrollo humano.
