Uno de los principales retos del trabajo de investigacin sobre la infancia es el poder incluir de manera asertiva las voces y la perspectiva de los nios. Este trabajo presenta una propuesta para la incorporacin de dichas voces en la evaluacin del respeto a los derechos de la infancia. A travs de distintas dinmicas de trabajo y del levantamiento de encuestas con y por los nios, se busca analizar el grado en el que las ciudades y las comunidades garantizan el respeto a sus derechos. Este trabajo es el manual elaborado a partir de la propuesta del programa Child Friendly Cities de UNICEF, Internacional y del Innocenti Research Center, con el fin de realizar el levantamiento de datos en comunidades marginadas. Este documento detalla la metodologa utilizada con los nios y describe las actividades llevadas a cabo con otros miembros de la comunidad. El principal objetivo de ste trabajo es el garantizar la comparabilidad y la validez de datos recabados desde esta perspectiva. Constituye una propuesta metodolgica cualitativa y cuantitativa, especialmente til en el trabajo con menores.
