Dieser Wettlauf ist den immer strker auftretenden Preiskmpfen auf den Mrkten geschuldet. Bereits zwischen 1991 und 2001 sank der Anteil des Einzelhandelsumsatzes am privaten Konsum um 10 Prozentpunkte. Besonders der Lebensmitteleinzelhandel hat mit einem massiven Preisverfall zu kmpfen. Das deutsche Preisniveau liegt seit vielen Jahren unter dem europischen Durchschnitt. Diese Tendenzen fhren in nahezu allen Bereichen des Handels dazu, dass vor allem die Ausgabenseite ber den Erfolg oder Misserfolg von Unternehmen entscheidet. Bereits in den 1990er Jahren haben Unternehmen versucht, unter Nutzung moderner Managementkonzepte ihre Prozesse zu gltten und an externe Dienstleister auszugliedern, um somit Kosten zu sparen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit sollen die Chancen und Risiken durch IT Outsourcing, speziell fr deutsche Handelsunternehmen evaluiert werden. Das zweite Kapitel enthlt zunchst grundlegende Definitionen. Im dritten Kapitel werden Vorgehensweisen der Unternehmen in der Praxis dargestellt und potenzielle Chancen und Risiken evaluiert. Dies stellt den Schwerpunkt der Arbeit dar. Abschlieend wird ein Ausschnitt aktueller Entscheidungsinstrumente betrachtet und bewertet.
