About the Author Patrick Wallace is an American expatriate who has lived for many years in Asia with his wife and five children. This book covers his family's experience in western China from 20022004, when he and his wife served as English teachers at Shihezi University, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. He is currently an editor and writer living and working in Shanghai, China.
