La tuberculosis bovina es una enfermedad infectocontagiosa zoontica que afecta al ganado vacuno. Existe variacin en la prevalencia de tuberculosis bovina entre regiones geogrficas y entre rodeos de una misma regin que pueden deberse a las diferencias en los sistemas de manejo que afectan la oportunidad de transmisin de la infeccin. Se realiz un estudio de casos y controles en sistemas de produccin lechera para evaluar la importancia de los factores relacionados a la tasa de contacto, la alimentacin de las terneras y el ingreso de bovinos en la ocurrencia de tuberculosis bovina. El modelo de regresin logstica destac la importancia del tiempo de contacto vacaternero postparto y el ingreso de bovinos jvenes para reposicin en la ocurrencia de tuberculosis en rodeos lecheros. El anlisis espacial y la superficie de los sistemas productivos permitieron ajustar los resultados. La identificacin de factores de riesgo de tuberculosis bovina contribuye en la elaboracin de medidas de control que limiten la introduccin y transmisin de la infeccin en rodeos lecheros.
