Did rebel angels take on human bodies to fulfill their lust for the daughters of men? Did these fallen angels teach men to build weapons of war? That is the premise of the Book of Enoch, a text cherished by the Essenes, early Jews, and Christians but later condemned by both rabbis and Church Fathers.Elizabeth Clare Prophet examines the controversy surrounding this book and sheds new light on Enochs forbidden mysteries. She demonstrates that Jesus and the apostles studied the Book of Enoch and tells why Church Fathers suppressed its teaching that angels could incarnate in human bodies.Fallen Angels and the Origins of Evil takes you back to the primordial drama of Good and Evil, when the first hint of corruption entered a pristine worldearth.Contains Richard Laurences translation of the Book of Enoch, all the other Enoch texts (including the Book of the Secrets of Enoch) and biblical parallels.

This book really opened my eyes to the history of the Book of Enoch and why it was kept out of mainstream Christianity. The writing is engaging and accessible, making complex theological ideas understandable. If you’re curious about religious history, definitely worth a read!

A Must-Read for Theology Buffs
As someone who studies theology, this book is a treasure trove of insights into why the Book of Enoch was suppressed. The author does a great job of connecting historical events with their implications today. Highly informative and thought-provoking!

Misleading Title, Lacked Depth
I expected a thorough investigation based on the title but was left wanting more. The content didn’t delve as deeply as I hoped into the revelations of the Book of Enoch itself. It’s not a terrible book, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something comprehensive.

Interesting but Dense Read
I found the book fascinating in its exploration of the Church Fathers and their decisions. However, some sections felt a bit dense and hard to digest. Still, it’s a worthwhile read if you have a keen interest in ancient texts and their impact on modern beliefs.
