Dennoch ist diese Forschungsfrage aufgrund der weltweit groen Bedeutung von Familienunternehmen sehr relevant. Deshalb wird dieser mgliche Zusammenhang derzeit in einem Forschungsprojekt der FriedrichAlexanderUniversitt ErlangenNrnberg untersucht. Wichtiger Bestandteil dieses Forschungsprojektes ist eine grozahlige, quantitative Analyse. Ziel meiner Arbeit ist es, hierfr ein geeignetes Untersuchungsobjekt vorzuschlagen. Aufgrund der Evaluierung von 51 Industrien empfehle ich die Bankenbranche. Hier soll die disruptive Innovation "Direktbank" Mitte der 1990er Jahre in Deutschland betrachtet werden. Zudem kann die Krise 2007 mit ihren bisher aufgetretenen Auswirkungen ohne groen Mehraufwand als Vergleich herangezogen werden. Die Bankenbranche eignet sich aufgrund mehrerer Kriterien besonders gut fr die Analyse. Ausschlaggebend ist die gute Datenzugnglichkeit, da Banken in Deutschland ihre Jahresabschlsse verffentlichen mssen. Zudem agieren in dieser Branche ausreichend Firmen, gengend Banken sind in Familienbesitz, im Markt herrscht kein Ungleichgewicht und die Bankenbranche ist in einigen wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten bereits untersucht worden. Ziel der Analyse ist, nicht nur theoretische Ergebnisse zu liefern, sondern auch Handlungsempfehlungen fr angestammte Unternehmen auszusprechen.
