Product Description When Giselle McKissack, attractive 45yearold widow living on a shoestring while putting her daughter through college, accepts a job bellydancing at the 50th birthday party of Bay Area executive Brian Haggerty, whom she has known forever, she only hopes he doesn't recognize her under all those flowing veils and heavy makeup! This humorous tale about two families, his and hers, shows how complicated life can become as this widow and widower find themselves forever at the beck and call of their kids, grandchildren and aging parents. Despite many unexpected detours, they are determined to prove the old adage that it's never too late for love . . .although there may be a few rough spots on the road to matrimony. About the Author Barbara Dan admits to a variety of life experiences, including working as an actress, model, night club comedienne, comedy writer, puppeteer, Hollywood theatrical producer, screenwriter, real estate sales and escrow officer, handson builder of houses, taught special needs kids in public school, led couples communications workshops with her family therapist husband, and was publisher, editor and an adjunct professsor (Writing for Media). By far her biggest challenge was raising a family of four now grown children, being grandma of five, and recently became a greatgrandmother. She is a voracious reader of history, loves quilting, cooking, gardening, painting, travel, tracking genealogies, and prowling around in old graveyards and museums to research her novels. She is a member of Women Writing the West and Western Writers of America, has degrees in Theatre Arts and Accounting, and an M.A. in Humanities from Cal State University, buit feels that life experience is the most valuable tool any writer brings to his or her work. (A good sense of humor helps, too!)
