About the Author Naci en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria el 11 de Noviembre de 1902. Estudi msica con el maestro Bernardino Valle y guitarra con don Tefilo Morales y Martnez de Escobar. Continu sus estudios de piano en Alemania. Escribi diversas obras musicales y comedias que fueron representadas, y colabor con varios peridicos canarios y del extranjero. En 1945 public la novela Faycn (Memorias de un perro vagabundo). En 1947 inaugur su primera exposicin de pintura en el Gabinete Literario de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. En 1949 public Once sonetos y en 1965, Narraciones canarias (Recuerdos de niez y juventud). El 27 de noviembre de 1966 fallece en su ciudad natal. No quiere amo, ni que los chiquillos tiren piedras a los perros, ni que los hombres les peguen puntapis con sus grandes botas. Faycn venera a sus antepasados, los que lucharon con valor cuando el hombre holl el canino suelo; y sabe que no se ver libre del desamor ni de los malos tratos hasta el da en que como les ocurri a sus gloriosos antepasados su carne trmula se convierta en bronce.
