FEEDING POULTRY is required reading for anyone interested in giving their flocks a better diet. First published in 1955, this book is modern enough that no important point is overlooked, yet old enough that free range, green feed, homegrown grains, and small flocks are given due attention. Written by pioneering poultry scientist G. F. Heuser of Cornell University, the book is aimed at practical poultrymen in addition to poultry scientists, and this makes it more accessible than more recent works. This book is part of the Norton Creek Classics series; books from our past with an important role to play in our future.

This guide is fantastic! I've been raising chickens and ducks for years, but I still learned so much from it. The section on nutrition for gamebirds was particularly enlightening. Highly recommend for anyone serious about poultry care.

Good Book but Poor Delivery Service
The content is solid and informative, but my copy arrived a week late and the packaging was damaged. Still, I'm loving the insights on turkey diets. Just wish the shipping had gone smoother.

Solid Resource, but Lacks Depth
I found this book to be a good starting point for poultry nutrition, but I was hoping for more detailed information on specific breeds. The layout is nice, but some sections feel a bit too basic for seasoned breeders like myself.

Very Informative and Easy to Read
This classic guide covers all the essential aspects of poultry nutrition and is really easy to digest. I appreciate the sections on ducks and pigeons. It's become my go-to reference in the barn!

Not What I Expected
I was a bit disappointed with this guide. While it covers the basics well, I found some of the info on geese nutrition to be unclear. It felt like it skimmed over a lot. Wouldn't buy again.
