So titelt die berschrift eines Artikels zum Thema Gro und Kleinschreibung, welcher im Textarchiv der Berliner Zeitung zu finden ist. Dies zeigt, dass die Antwort auf die Frage Majuskel ja oder nein? fr die Gesellschaft nicht selbstverstndlich ist und fr viele im Alltag Probleme darstellt. Und zwar sowohl fr Gro als auch Klein. Denn nicht nur Kinder sprich Schler haben oft groe Probleme damit, die richtigen Wrter in ihren Diktaten, Aufstzen und Texten mit einer Majuskel zu versehen. Auch Studierende und somit zuknftige Lehrkrfte sind sich der Gro und Kleinschreibung nicht immer sicher (vgl. Rber Siekmeyer 1999, S. 13). Nicht umsonst gilt das Deutsche als eine der am schwersten zu erlernenden Sprachen nicht zuletzt aufgrund seines komplex wirkenden Systems der Gro und Kleinschreibung. Doch woher kommen eigentlich diese Probleme bei der Entscheidung Majuskel ja oder nein? Lernt man doch bereits in der Grundschule, dass blo Nomen und Wrter an einem Satzanfang grogeschrieben werden. Auch dafr, woran man ein Nomen erkennt, gibt es im Sprachbuch eine klare Regel: Nomen sind Namen fr Menschen, Tiere, Pflanzen und Dinge' (Spracharbeitsheft 2, Teil A 2006, S. 17). Paradox im Bezug dazu wirkt dann jedoch, dass das Regelwerk der Gro und Kleinschreibung im Duden hingegen 13 Paragraphen fr dessen Erklrung vorsieht. Bedenkt man, dass es blo 113 Paragraphen gibt, macht dies immerhin 11,5 % des Gesamtregelwerkes aus. Beim Durchlesen hat man das Gefhl, dass es die Autoren einfach nicht schafften, die Regularitten dafr auf einen Nenner zu bringen und deshalb einen Ausnahmefall an den nchsten reihten.
