Zudem muss kurz auf die Theorie des Konstruktivismus eingegangen werden, da diese als Ausgangspunkt fr den Umgang mit den Diskursen und der spezifischen Realitt von Medien dient. Von der Abbildtheorie, also der Vorstellung von Medien als bloe Abbildungsinstitutionen von Realitt, wird Abstand genommen, da die Auswahl von Wort und Bild bereits verbunden ist mit einer Verzerrung der Wirklichkeit. Der Konstruktivismus erklrt gerade fr den Bereich der Sprache einleuchtend die Schaffung einer eigenen, von der tatschlichen entfernten Welt. Im Folgenden wird auf theoretische Fragen zum Feindbild im Allgemeinen Bezug genommen und dabei vor allem dessen Funktionen und Zustandekommen betrachtet. Diese Reflexionen bilden die Grundlage fr die vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit Feindbildern in den Medien. Zunchst soll dafr in Abschnitt 5 die Frage nach dem Anteil der Medien an Feindbildern im Zentrum stehen. Darauf folgen berlegungen ber den spezifischen Nutzen der Verbreitung von Feindbildern fr das Mediensystem, um schlielich den Fokus auf die Produktion von Feindbildern innerhalb der Massenmedien zu legen. Anschlieend beschftigt sich der letzte Teil der Arbeit mit dem Problem des Abbaus von Feindbildern und versucht, aus der Zusammenfhrung der verschiedenen Aspekte Handlungsoptionen zu generieren.
