Nach Kriegsende 1945 hat die Deutsche Luftfahrtindustrie eine Arbeitspause einlegen mtissen von mehr als 10 Jahren. Erst 1955 wurde erneut ein sehr langsames Anlaufen ermoglicht. Der gewaltige Aufschwung, den die Luftfahrttechnik wahrend des zweiten Weltkrieges nahm, brachte auch nach Kriegsende standig weitere Erfolge. Neuerdings ist die Raumfahrt dazugestofSen. Der Wettbewerb urn den technischen Vorsprung in der Luftfahrttechnik geht unentwegt weiter. Auch die Bundesrepublik schickt sich an, ver lorenes Terrain wiederz.ugewinnen. Ein Mittel hierzu ist, den Stand der Technik im Ausland so weitgehend wie ffioglich zu erfassen, damit die Erkenntnisse hieraus auch zum Allgemeingut bei uns werden. Gegen stand dieser Arbeit ist ausschliefSlich die Fertigungstechnik von Luftfahrzeugen und Flug korpern, wobei zur Aufgabenstellung und abgrenzung weiteres aus B II 1 zu entnehmen ist. Wenn auch manches in dieser Fertigungstechnik in anderen Industriezweigen ahnlich anzutreffen ist, so erhalt doch die Luftfahrzeugfertigung durch ihre Eigenart und Vielfalt ein besonderes Geprage, das eine Sonderbehandlung rechtfertigt. Eine Aufgabe dieser Arbeit ist es, das vorhandene neuere Schrifttum tiber diese Fertigungstechnik zu erfassen und zusammenzustellen. Wer sich als Ingenieur mit der Fertigungstechnik der Luftfahrt in Deutschland beschaftigt, erkennt bald, dag hier einiges fehlt und gegentiber dem Ausland aufgeholt werden muiS. Beispielsweise gibt es kein Lehrbuch tiber dieses technische Geb et in deutscher Sprache.
