Dies stellt Unternehmen vor stndig neue Herausforderungen. Ebenso nahm die Hufigkeit tiefgreifender Vernderungen betrchtlich zu. Wandel wird immer weniger als seltenes Sonderereignis gesehen, sondern gilt vielmehr als primrer Bestandteil der Managementaufgabe. Das Verhltnis der Gleichgewichts und Ungleichgewichtsphasen hat sich in Richtung der mehr oder weniger turbulenten Vernderungsphasen verndert. In den letzten Jahren kam es zu einer enormen Aufwertung der Managementsparte, fr die sich die Bezeichnung Management des Wandels' bzw. Change Management' etabliert hat. Dadurch, dass Wandel eine hufig auftretende Regelerscheinung darstellt, bestimmen die Themenfelder Vernderung, Lernen, Umbruch und Wandel immer mehr die Tagesordnungen und Plne der Manager. Ferner hat das Change Management in der Priorittenskala des Managements eine Aufwertung gegenber dem Tagesgeschft erfahren. Vernderungsvorhaben stellen keine Ausnahmeveranstaltung mehr dar, in die lediglich so viel investiert werden darf, wie es die Belastungen aus dem Tagesgeschft zulassen. Um einen nachhaltigen Unternehmenserfolg zu sichern, muss nicht nur in Visionen, Missionen, Strategien der Diversifikation oder Konzentration, sondern auch in Prozesse des Wandels investiert werden.
