Angesichts des verscharften Wettbewerbs auch im Bankenbereich stellt sich die Frage, wie sich ein Kreditinstitut am Markt absatzbezogen profilieren kann. Vor diesem Hintergrund beauftragte uns der Deutsche Sparkassenund Giroverband (Bonn), die Frage zu prlifen, inwieweit in den Geschaftsstellen bzw. Filialen eines Instituts bei den Mitarbeitern absatzrelevante Potentiale schlummern, die der Profi lierung am Markt dienen konnten, und inwieweit diese Potentiale durch eine geeig nete Flihrung von seiten des Geschaftsstellenleiters stimulierbar sind. Wir meinen nach Abschlug Unserer Studie, diese Fragen positiv beantworten zu konnen: In den Geschaftsstellen bzw. Filialen sind tatsachlich absatzrelevante Potentiale vorhanden, die durch eine bewugtere Flihrung geweckt und besser ausgeschopft werden kon nen. Wir wollen insofern mit dieser Veroffentlichung den Kreditinstituten Mut machen, sich mit diesem Problem naher zu befassen, da es sich offenbar lohnt. In der ersten Hilfte dieses Buches findet der Leser eine Dbersicht zu den Haupt resultaten unserer Studie. Nach unserer Erfahrung sind Praktiker flir die hier disku tierten Fragen der Flihrung und Zusammenarbeit speziell dann zu interessieren, wenn man demonstriert, dag eine bestimmte Art der Flihrung mit dem okonomi schen Erfolg verknlipft ist: Wir haben als Mematte deswegen nicht die Arbeits zufriedenheit der Mitarbeiter oder ahnliches, sondern die Produktnutzungsquote der Geschaftsstellen herangezogen. In dem Dberblick zu den Hauptresultaten stel len wir zunachst dar, welches Flihrungsverhalten der Geschaftsstellenleiter bzw. Filialleiter mit dem okonomischen Erfolg der Geschaftsstelle zusammenhangt. Wir zeigen anschliegend, auf welches Mitarbeiterverhalten (Kundenbetreuung, Kunden beratung) es ankommt, urn die Produktnutzungsquote zu steigern.
