Gegner der Massenmedien weisen immer wieder auf die Gefahren einer bermigen Nutzung von TV, Internet und Computerspielen hin. Zugegeben, wenn Kinder und Jugendliche Filme konsumieren, die nicht fr ihr Alter freigegeben sind, dann stellen diese Filme einen schdlichen Einfluss dar. Werden sie ber einen lngeren Zeitraum ohne Mglichkeiten zur Reflexion des medial erlebten konsumiert, entstehen Nebenwirkungen. Befrworter erkennen in den Medien ein Potential, das sich nutzen lsst, um Kinder und Jugendliche an den Medien und durch die Medien zu bilden. Filme knnen als Vermittler von Sprache und Literatur Gegenstand des Unterrichts sein. Die Voraussetzung fr einen konstruktiven Umgang mit den Medien ist eine fachkundige Anleitung. Das Ziel eines Unterrichts, der Medien integriert, wre Schlerinnen und Schler zu kompetenten Nutzern von Medien zu erziehen. Aufgabe dieser Arbeit wird es sein darzulegen, dass Filme als Gegenstand im Deutschunterricht behandelt werden knnen. Der erste Teil befasst sich mit Medien aus der didaktischen Fachperspektive. Der Begriff Medium wird anhand verschiedener Definitionen erlutert. Exemplarisch werden zwei Mediendidaktiken vorgestellt. Es folgen Ausfhrungen ber einen integrativen Ansatz fr den Einsatz von Medien im Deutschunterricht. Im Mittelpunkt des zweiten Teils steht der Film als Unterrichtsgegenstand. Es werden wichtige Begriffe fr eine Filmanalyse genannt und eine Mglichkeit zur Didaktisierung aufgezeigt.
