Back in Wichita, Kansas, Duncan's wife Amy reinvents herself as a business woman and single mom whose closest friend is a gay man. In heartland America and coastal Scotland each navigates their solitary lives. Then a surprise encounter in 2013, nearly twenty years later, forces Amy to choose between finding Duncan and, finally, letting him go.
