This book discusses about the human behaviour and the reaction to be taken if their highrise flats building catch fire. What actions they would be taken, their perceptions when fire alarm goes off, factors that motivating them to evacuate the building, factors that influencing people behaviour in emergency situation and etc? Because of the complexity of human behaviour, today decision by one person could be different on the following days. Therefore, the integration between human behaviour and escape routes in highrise residential buildings is essential. Even though there is no standard benchmark to refer, its can be done if we have understood the people behaviour if their building catches fire. There are thirteen models (developed by the author) integrated to form a human behaviour model. Models 1 to 8 are derived from the questionnaire survey on the buildings occupants and models 9 to 12 are derived from the expert judgement. Model thirteen is an action to be taken by the occupants if they have seen any fire cue or if they have heard any fire alarm. Those models are divided into five levels of intensity and discussed with survey evident.
